(VOVworld)- The National Electoral Council convened its 4^th session chaired by National Assembly Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan, on Wednesday in Hanoi.

The meeting discussed preparations for the elections of the 14^th National Assembly and of the People’s Councils. Members of the National Electoral Council approved a resolution on assigning tasks. Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan, National Assembly Chairwoman and head of the council, praised efforts to prepare for the elections by the relevant agencies and members of the National Electoral Council. She stressed the need to strengthen propaganda, provide up-to-date information about the elections and ensure security and social order, so that the Election Day can be a national festival.
