This involved cooperation between the Tan Viet Publishing House and the Center for Translation, Cultural and Technological Scientific Services. The book entitled “Vo Nguyen Giap – the People’s General” features the life and career of General Vo Nguyen Giap who is considered to be Vietnam’s national hero and an outstanding student of President Ho Chi Minh. Dr. Nguyen Hoang Hiep, Director of the Center for Translation, Cultural and Technological Scientific Services, said: "This book is different from others, as we collected and translated articles and writings about General Vo Nguyen Giap by scholars, generals and politicians published in the world’s newspapers. We highlighted major events attached to General Giap’s life and career, such as the Dien Bien Phu and Ho Chi Minh campaigns, and the General’s military tactics. The book also covers the affection of the people toward General Vo Nguyen Giap after he passed away". 

The 2^nd book on outstanding Generals in national history depicts the lives, careers and contributions made by 46 Vietnamese generals in different historic periods. The third book looks at Vietnam’s military air-campaigns from 1965 to 1975.
