(VOVworld) – The Overseas Service (VOV5) of the Voice of Vietnam presented gifts to 253 students, 50 teachers and 120 poor households in Can Nong commune in Cao Bang province this week.
Gifts totaling 4,500 USD included blankets, scarves, warm clothes, teaching utensils, vegetable oil, sugar, and salt. The money was contributed by VOV5’s staff and a number of sponsors. 28-year-old Dang Van Lai said: “We thank the Voice of Vietnam for providing us the conditions to have a sufficient Tet.”
It has been the 4th year that VOV5 has carried out its charity program to help children and poor households in remote provinces. The program was carried out in Ha Giang province last year.
