APEC is an economic forum set up to enhance economic and political ties between 21 Asia-Pacific countries. This year’s APEC Summit takes place at a time of growing protectionism and the 4th industrial revolution, Loc said, adding that globalization is benefiting small and medium-sized enterprises in Vietnam.
An exhibition called “Vietnam – a reliable potential business partner” will be held in Da Nang next month to promote Vietnamese products, and tourism, and attract investment in Vietnam. Nguyen Van Than, Chairman of the Vietnam Association of Small and Medium-sized Enterprises, said: “APEC is a forum for small and medium-sized enterprises to seek business partners, and share experience in the context of economic integration”.
Huynh Duc Tho, Chairman of Da Nang City’s People’s Committee, spoke highly of cooperation opportunities during the APEC Economic Leaders’ Week: “The business community can expand cooperation through events and mechanisms during the APEC Economic Leaders’ Week. At dialogues and meetings of the APEC Business Advisory Council and Vietnam Business Summit we can make policy proposals to deal with the unresolved problems”.
