At the APEC Senior Finance Officials Meeting in Hoi An City.

The four co-operation priorities for this year are long-term investment in infrastructure, disaster risk financing and insurance, tax avoidance through base erosion and profit shifting (BEPS), and inclusive finance. The discussion at the event will continue at the APEC Finance Deputy Ministers and Central Bank Governors’ Meeting on Friday. The outcome of the discussions will be forwarded to the APEC Finance Ministers’ Meeting.

Director of the International Cooperation Department of the Ministry of Finance Vu Nhu Thang said that at the APEC Senior Officials’ Meeting in Ninh Binh in May, 2017, representatives of APEC economies discussed progress in implementing previous finance priorities and pledged to work together to implement their plans. At this meeting, they will review the priorities to include them in the Joint Statement of the APEC Finance Ministers’ Meeting.
