The Anti-Corruption on Transparency Working Group (ACTWG) held a dialogue on the fight against corruption and smuggling. Vietnam hoped to contribute to implementing anti-corruption commitments and boosting international cooperation to eliminate safe haven for corrupt people and increase joint actions to fight trans-national smuggling rings.

The same day, the APEC Sub-Committee on Customs Procedures (SCCP) opened a plenary session. Vu Ngoc Anh, Deputy Director General of Vietnam Customs said the success of the first subcommittee in February in Nha Trang has pushed the comprehensive implementation of the Trade Facilitation Agreement of the World Trade Organization as well as considered conditions to realize the One-stop-shop mechanism connectivity initiative among APEC economies.  

On Saturday in Ho Chi Minh city, the Committee on Trade and Investment (CTI) discussed free trade agreement (FTA) negotiation skills on competition and capacity building for quality infrastructure investment in the rapidly urbanising APEC region.
