(VOVworld) - The first APEC Senior Officials’ Meeting (SOM 1) continued in Nha Trang city on Thursday with 430 delegates participating in activities of eight committees, working groups and forums.

They included meetings on Trade and Investment, the Competition Policy and Law, Customs Procedures, Tourism, Health, and Electronic Commerce.

At the meeting of the Tourism Working Group, participants discussed the Ha Long statement and a framework to guide APEC’s sustainable tourism development in the context of climate change. Ha Van Sieu, Deputy Director General of the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism, said: “APEC economies can use this framework to adapt to climate change. Every action should be associated with climate change response”.
