“This is why Vietnam proposed that comprehensive financial inclusion for agriculture and rural areas be the theme of the session. The Vietnamese government has asked the State Bank to coordinate Vietnam’s financial inclusion program”, Ms. Hong added.
APEC delegates recommended enhancing technological application in agriculture to reduce costs and improve product and service quality, increasing access to information and financial knowledge for farmers, and protecting consumers. Other measures include developing legal frameworks to promote credits for agriculture and rural areas.
