Open to public from January 19 until the end of May, the exhibition is divided into three sections. The first introduces how the Communist Party of Vietnam was founded, with “French Colonialism on Trial” - a book by President Ho Chi Minh, and the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV)’s Brief Political Platform, and Brief Policy and Party Statutes approved by the founding conference in 1930. The second section, which gives visitors a glimpse into the past 12 Party Congresses, features reports, speeches, documents, and resolutions adopted at these events, as well as draft writings from Party General Secretaries. The third section highlights the work for the 13th National Party Congress, including all-level Party congresses and voters’ meetings.

'This display provides visitors an overview of all Party Congresses from the 1st to the 12th Congress. The 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and the 4th congresses were organized either every 10 or 15 years due to the war. Since the renewal period in 1986, Party Congresses have taken place every 5 years. The exhibition gives visitors a better overview of the development of the Party through Party Congresses,' says Nguyen Thi Thu Hoan, Deputy Director of the Vietnam National Museum of History.

On display are also speeches of Party General Secretaries, Party Congress propaganda posters, badges of delegates attending Party Congresses, gifts to the Congresses presented by Vietnamese people and international friends, and articles on Party building.

'The display includes texts of important speeches and documents from Party Congresses with writings of Party leaders. Each Party Congress has its own highlights. For the 13th Party Congress, we emphasize the importance of Party building activities with materials, documents and items representing efforts from the establishment of the Communist Party of Vietnam until now,' says Nguyen Thi Thu Huong, Deputy Head of the Archive Department of the Party Central Committee's Office.

Advanced media technologies make the display more lively for the audience, according to Associate Professor, Doctor Pham Mai Hung, Deputy Chairman of the Vietnam Association of Historical Sciences.

'Thanks to the aid of modern technology, the display has become more lively with up-to-date developments. We made 2 clips and screen them at the entrance of the display highlighting people’s trust in the Party with their practical contributions,' says Hung.

The museum hopes to provide the public, especially young people, with a better understanding about the Party’s development history alongside Vietnam’s achievements under the Party leadership. This will help them be better aware of their responsibility to build a prosperous, peaceful, and developed Vietnam.
