The Trade Fair has 600 booths of businesses and cooperatives from Vietnam, China, and other countries. Nguyen Hoang Van, Director General of Binh Thuan Sustainable Production and Consumption Ecosystem Cooperative said that in addition to bird's nest specialties, Binh Thuan brings to the fair its fresh yellow, white, and red dragon fruits and dragon fruit-based products such as wine, cakes, and tea. 85% of Binh Thuan's dragon fruits are exported to China, mostly through unofficial channels.
“Binh Thuan’s land, sand, and sea produce dragon fruits with a special flavor. We hope Vietnamese dragon fruits will be exported to China through official channels,” said Van.

On the sidelines of the trade fair is a trade conference of agricultural, forestry, and fishery enterprises from China and Vietnam, a conference on logistics service development, and an economic and trade cooperation dialogue between Vietnam’s Lao Cai province and China’s Yunnan province.
Han Tao, a representative of Yunnan’s Su Tao Company, said the Trade Fair has strengthened business connectivity and promoted the products of both countries. As a durian importer, Han Tao highly appreciates Vietnamese durians and hopes the two governments will lend their support to durian businesses.
“The Chinese market sells many durian-based products. If Vietnam can provide a stable supply of durians to China, it will certainly be welcomed,” Han Tao said.
Tran Thanh Hai, Deputy Director of the Import-Export Department of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, said reviving the Trade Fair after the COVID-19 epidemic shows the desire of Lao Cai and Yunnan to stimulate trade and tourism.
“Although it is not as big as it was before the epidemic, the Fair indicates new trade vitality between the two countries. I believe the next Fair will be larger,” said Hai.
42 cooperative agreements and 16 contracts have been signed between Vietnamese and Chinese businesses at the Fair.
