Localities in the north have worked out several scenarios to ensure the security and safety of the examinees, particularly with forecasts of landslides and flooding in some regions. Le Ngoc Quyen, Vice Chairman of Cho Moi district’s People’s Committee in Bac Kan province said: “The district has cooperated with sectors and localities hosting the examinations to work out scenarios in response to the pandemic and natural disasters. We asked localities to mobilize forces to deal with landslides, flooding, and torrential rains.”
Dang Ngoc Tu, Rector of Hoang Van Thu High School in Lang Son city, Lang Son province said: “We have designed scenarios to be prepared for any situation. We have worked with medical and other forces to help students at the examination sites.”
Localities have also arranged accommodations near examination sites for the students and their relatives and supported poor students and those who live in remote, mountainous areas and areas prone to natural disasters or the pandemic.
Young volunteers have been deployed at the examination sites since Tuesday. Truong Tuan Hiep of the Youth Union of Giang Vo ward, Ba Dinh district, Hanoi, said: “We launched a movement called “Blue shirt, pink dream” to help the examinees. We have made thorough preparations to help them and respond to any situation.
The students will sit for mathematics and literature on Wednesday and foreign languages and natural sciences (physics, chemistry, biology) or social sciences (history, geography, civics) on Thursday.
The examination results will be announced on July 24.
