The exhibition "Joining the march 2023" was organized by the Creative Club of the Vietnam Fine Arts Association.

The works on display were created by 66 authors who are members of the Club and artists in Hanoi, Nghe An, Thanh Hoa, Thai Binh, Phu Tho, and Hai Phong. Most of the works were created this year using lacquer, oil paint, acrylic, or silk.

Nguyen Bang Lam, former Vice President of the Vietnam Fine Arts Association, said: "I’m particularly impressed by works that depict soldiers and their defense of the homeland. Works that depict national defense or national revolution are always of great interest to everyone, both those who lived through the resistance war and those who were born in peace time that followed. This exhibition is a preview of the 2024 national exhibition on Vietnam’s revolutionary armed forces."

The works on display were creative reflections on the people's army and people's police, who have always been ready, during the resistance war and today, to defend the homeland and stand side by side with the people to cope with natural disasters and diseases.

Nguyen Mai Anh, a resident of Ho Chi Minh City, said: "The artists present images of Vietnamese soldiers that express their love for those who have defended the Fatherland."
