(VOVWORLD) - President Ho Chi Minh was a great communist, an outstanding national hero, and a great international soldier who fought tirelessly, devoted his life to the Fatherland and people and became a shining example for generations of Vietnamese people. On the occasion of his 133rd birthday anniversary (May 19, 1890 - May 19, 2023), ministries, agencies and organizations reviewed the movement to follow Ho Chi Minh's thought, morality and lifestyle, a regular practice among Party members and the public. Many role models in following President Ho Chi Minh's moral example have been honored.

The Party Committee of Phu Tan commune, Chau Thanh district, Soc Trang province organizes a seminar called “30 minutes to remember and take action” on the second day of every month as part of activities to follow President Ho Chi Minh’s moral example.
At the seminar, local cadres and Party members study documents about President Ho Chi Minh’s life and career and produce reports about role models in following President Ho Chi Minh’s moral example.
Huynh Thai Quoc, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of Phu Tan Commune, Chau Thanh district, said: 'The Executive Committee, secretaries of Party organizations, and heads of sectors and organizations discussed documents and reports which will later be disseminated among Party members and the public.'
The Standing Committee of the Soc Trang provincial Party Committee has in the last three years made studying and following President Ho Chi Minh's thought, morality and lifestyle a regular task and practice of each cadre, Party member and person in the province.

Many Party officials, Party members, civil servants, public employees, and ordinary people have become role models in the movement to improve the performance of their duties and daily life.
Many community models have been introduced: "Community Monitoring Team", "Medical Advisory Group" for the prevention and control of the Covid-19 epidemic, "Trade Union aid package ", "Gratitude kitchen", "Gratitude bus - companion to overcome the pandemic", “0 VND stall- sharing love", "Youth speaker", "Connecting hearts", "30 minutes to remember and take action”, “Community digital technology team", and "Effective economic cooperation model ".
In the past three years, the movement to study and follow Ho Chi Minh's thought, morality and lifestyle has been implemented and integrated in all trade unions activities.
The Vietnam General Confederation of Labor and trade unions at all levels have launched multiple emulation movements to build a strong, modern working class. The programs "Welfare for trade union members and workers", "New Year's reunion", "Worker's Month", and "Union Shelter" have become practical activities bearing the hallmarks of the Trade Union organizations. Key cadres of trade unions at all levels have been encouraged to become role models in these movements.
During 2021 and 2022, trade unions at all levels mobilized hundreds of thousands of organizations and individuals to register to study and follow President Ho Chi Minh’s moral example. More than 966,000 good deeds and 3,000 good models have been implemented.
Ms. Hoang Thi Nhu Thanh, Head of Dong Ba Market Management Board, in Hue city, said: 'I learned from Uncle Ho the way to understand the people, respect the people, and be close to the people. I take myself as an example for traders to follow. At meetings with them, I always share thoughts and ways of doing things and they discuss and share with me their sincere suggestions. I personally consider traders the focus in communications to mobilize them to engage in movements and comply with the guidelines and policies of the city and the province.'
It’s important to create a stronger change from "studying" to "following" President Ho Chi Minh’s moral example and make it a regular task and a great motivation and strength to build a modern, strong working class, a strong trade union, and to create new strength in national construction and development.
Nguyen Trong Nghia, Head of the Party Central Committee’s Communication and Education Commission, said: 'We must further replicate and strengthen good, effective models in studying and following Uncle Ho, and make the movement a regular task and a more practical and regular action for the legitimate interests of the trade union members.'
Ho Thi Cam Dao, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairperson of the People’s Council of Soc Trang province, said: 'We have focused on building good models in following President Ho Chi Minh’s moral example, honored them and replicated them throughout the province. We have constantly reformed the contents, methods and ways to promote the movement of studying and following Ho Chi Minh's thought, morality and lifestyle among Party cadres, Party members, trade union members, and the public, particularly among the younger generation.'
During Vietnam’s national development and international integration, President Ho Chi Minh's thought, morality and lifestyle is an invaluable spiritual asset lighting the way for Vietnam’s national struggle for independence and freedom and socialism building. It’s also a solid spiritual foundation to sustain Vietnamese culture and people toward sustainable development and the goal of a rich people, a strong country, democracy, justice and civilization.
