Fellow countrymen, comrades, and soldiers,
The Lunar Year of the Cat has arrived in our beloved Vietnam. At this sacred and emotional moment, on behalf of Party and State leaders, I extend my best regards and New Year wishes to fellow countrymen, comrades, and soldiers, and overseas Vietnamese. I wish people all over the world a new year of peace, friendship, cooperation, and unceasing development.
The Year of the Tiger 2022 witnessed significant events. Many major, unexpected difficulties and challenges left an adverse impact on not only Vietnam but also the whole world. In this special context, the Party, the people, and the army showed patriotism, determination, unity, creativity, and dynamism in gaining many important and comprehensive achievements.
Socio-economic recovery and development and epidemic prevention and control were enhanced, the building of an independent and self-reliant economy associated with active, proactive, extensive, comprehensive, and effective international integration accelerated, social-political stability and national defense and security ensured, peace and stability for national development maintained, and people’s trust in the Party, State, and socialism consolidated. These impressive achievements were acknowledged and praised worldwide and provided us with valuable lessons.
On behalf of the Party and State, I warmly welcomed and applauded the people and the army for your contributions to these successes.
2023, the Year of the Cat, will be the third and pivotal year of implementing the resolution adopted at the 13th National Party Congress and the 5-year socio-economic development plan until 2025.
The Party, the people, and the army should continue to uphold patriotism and unity, overcome difficulties, accelerate the renewal process in a more comprehensive and uniform manner, promote national construction and defense, preserve peace and stability, and accomplish set targets and tasks, in order to create momentum for rapid and sustainable national development to make our country more powerful, prosperous, and beautiful.
