Nearly 3,000 SMEs in Dak Lak province are run by women. Most of them are engaged in agricultural production or tourism. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, many businesses have had to scale down their operation or have had their supply chain disrupted. The Dak Lak Women’s Union is helping local businesswomen recover.

Nguyen Thi Thu Nguyet, Chairwoman of the Dak Lak provincial Women’s Union, said: "We have strengthened links with trade and credit organizations and banks to give businesswomen better access to loans. We have also promoted their products to domestic and foreign markets via our website and on our e-transaction floor. We plan to launch an event for high quality products in June."

The Women’s Association in Hung Loi ward, Can Tho city, has implemented several measures to help its members overcome difficulties during the epidemic. Nguyen Thi Anh Huong, Chairwoman of the Association, said: "Since the COVID-19 pandemic, the Association has paid particular attention to members in difficult circumstances, poor people and lottery ticket sellers. We have increased communications on disease prevention and have given them supplies and money to help them recover from the epidemic."

The Kon Tum provincial Women’s Union has worked closely with the provincial Military High Command to deliver facemasks, soap, medical gloves, books, and magazines to  disease prevention workers and people in quarantine.
