(VOVworld) – The have been beautifully decorated and public places are getting ready for count-down parties to welcome the New Year.

Hanoi will organize count-down parties and art performances on New Year’s Eve at August Revolution Square, My Dinh National Stadium, Dong Kinh Nghia Thuc square, Reunification Park, and Ly Thai To garden. Celebrations and sporting events will be held at Ha Dong precinct and Son Tay township. Art troupes will perform at cultural houses and public places in all 30 precincts. The Hanoi cinema center will organize mobile movie screenings in rural localities.

Da Nang city will host a motorbike and sports bike rally on Saturday. New Year celebrations will welcome guests from cruises docking at Tien Sa Port, including the Genting Dream and the SS Virgo. On the first day of 2017, Da Nang will receive the first Singapore-Danang commercial flight operated by Silk Air.

Major streets in Ho Chi Minh City, including Truong Son, Nam Ky Khoi Nghia, Ham Nghi, and Dong Khoi, are decorated with colored lights. Famous artists will perform at count-down parties at cultural houses and public stages. A Light Festival, Street Performance, and circus shows will delight audiences with performances by artists from Japan, Venezuela, and Argentina. Performances will also be held at university dormitories and industrial zones to entertain students and workers who can’t return to their home for the New Year holiday.
