The launch of young voluntary "Green summer" campaign in Buon Don, Dak Lak province.

In Dien Bien province, young volunteers have organized sports and cultural events and classes for children to review their academic lessons. The Youth Union has promoted reading by organizing reading festivals, poetry festivals, and mobile bookstores. Classes on personal safety for children have been held to teach families and communities how to ensure that children play safely. Young volunteers in Can Tho city have upgraded 30 primary schools and opened swimming classes for young citizens. Luong Thi Ngoc Anh, Deputy Secretary of Can Tho City’s Youth Union, said: “We organize playgrounds for children to improve personal life skills. We have 6 teams of volunteers who are trained before going to other localities.”

Young volunteers in Dak Lak province have delivered school supplies and scholarships to poor children. Nguyen Duy Hoc in Ea Kly commune said: “We will repair the dormitory of the To Hieu boarding school in Cu San commune. It accommodates 250 children whose homes are more than 20km from school. The repairs will cost about 70 million VND.”

Fund raising activities have been launched to help disadvantaged children have a safe, healthy summer holiday.
