Phu Quoc’s rapid development over the past few years has created opportunities for tourism. The island is bestowed with beautiful natural landscape, primitive forests, white sand beaches, and delicious local specialties like fish sauce and pepper. Tourist services in Phu Quoc are diverse and high quality, meeting the increasing needs of visitors.
At Vingroup’s United Center, a complex of resorts, recreation facilities, trade and services, members of the group were all amazed with the center’s size of more than 1,000 ha and the service of “one destination, all needs” 24 hours a day. With a system of thousands of services and a record number of entertainment facilities, Phu Quoc United Center impresses all visitors.
Naraksak, Manager of Julilee Travel Company in Thailand, said: "I’m very impressed with Phu Quoc, a beautiful tourist destination with wonderful landscape. Tourist attractions here are as beautiful as those in Thailand. After more than 2 years being affected by the pandemic, the tourism needs in Thailand are increasing sharply. After this trip, I will introduce Phu Quoc to my friends."
Festive activities at Vinpearl Phu Quoc, particularly the "The Essence of Vietnam" show, which uses 3-D technology to reproduce Vietnam’s traditional historical sites, impressed Thai tourists with its huge scale and combination of advanced technology and unique Vietnamese culture. The “Color of Venice” art show is elaborately staged using modern laser technology, mapping effects, a giant mechanical fan system, and led technology combined with music and dance.
Thai blogger Thanasah talked about visiting Phu Quoc for the first time: "This is my first trip to Phu Quoc. It’s very beautiful with modern structures and quality recreational facilities meeting visitors’ needs. We’re also impressed with the warm reception of the staff at the destinations. We hope to help promote Phu Quoc not only to Thai tourists but also elsewhere in the world."
Nguyen Chi Thanh, Deputy Director of Kien Giang province’s Department of Tourism, said: "The local tourisms sector has adopted several plans on tourism promotion and diversification of products. We will conduct further surveys, explore new tourist sites, and introduce new products. We plan to link tourism development with the One Commune, One Product program and focus more on eco-tourism, community tourism, and rural tourism to lure more visitors."
Since the beginning of this year, Phu Quoc has welcomed more than 2.4 million visitors and intends to receive 5.8 million visitors including 200,000 foreigners this year.
