It’s unclear when the festival began but it has long been a ritual of Nom village. The main ceremony takes place on the 12th day of the first lunar month.
The festival features many rituals and activities, such as the cleaning of the Genie statue, a worshiping ceremony, and unicorn and dragon dances.
All rituals are performed just as they were performed long ago.
The processions involving local elders, quan ho folk singers, unicorn dancers, and visitors. Local elders don traditional costumes for the procession ritual.
Kids are interested in watching the unicorn dances.
A ceremony is held to bring the Tam Giang Genie to the pagoda to welcome his mother and wife back to the village’s communal house.

People often return to the village on this occasion for family reunions, to worship ancestors, and participate in traditional rituals.
