(VOVWORLD) - FPT Telecom is one of 10 outstanding digital technology enterprises in Vietnam. In April five of its technology products were voted as “Excellent solutions from Vietnam’s software and IT industry” at the Sao Khue Awards 2023. They include FPT Play 2022 Decoder, FPT Smart Home, and FPT Camera Play. These products bring convenience to users and demonstrate Vietnamese IT engineers’ creativity.

Launched last September, FPT Play 2022 Decoder was the first device in Vietnam to integrate two TV technology platforms – Internet Protocol Television (IPTV) and Over‑The‑Top (OTT).
FPT Play 2022 Decoder enables users to experience the same, continuous and uninterrupted FPT Play service provided by any network operators.
The decoder is considered the “heart” of the Smart Living ecosystem, which FPT Telecom is targeting to improve the customer experience and develop a digital life and a smart digital society.
With breakthroughs in functionality, uniqueness in technology, security capabilities, and potential growth in the market, FPT Play 2022 Decoder won the Sao Khue Awards 2023 in the “Digital Content and Electronic Entertainment” category, which affirms FPT Play’s leading position in television technology and as a provider of copyrighted content.
“This is the first time we have integrated 2 types of recorders into a single device, making it a 2 in 1. This helps customers have the same, continuous experience and choose whatever form they want,” said Hoang Viet Anh, FPT Telecom Chairman.
Another winner of this year’s Sao Khue Award is FPT Smart Home. Honored as an excellent solution of the Vietnamese software and IT industry, the solution has been well received by users thanks to its practical benefits including minimal effort of operation, wireless connection, voice control and automated and optimized user experience with AI technology.
A complete set of FPT Smart Home is comprised of several devices. These include FPT Play Box S, a central controller using Vietnamese voice, iHome door sensor, FPT Camera, smart lights, touch switches, motion sensors, smart door locks, curtain controllers, and accessories.
FPT Camera Play is among the products that make FPT Telecom a successful name in the Vietnamese software and IT industry.
FPT Camera Play is a new generation security camera which supports smart monitoring and serves as a technology decoration.
It has features such as 365‑degree horizontal rotation for a comprehensive viewing angle, two‑way conversation for easy remote communication, and a Sony sensor for sharp full HD image quality.
The device is designed for simple installation, in different locations, and is easy to move. More particularly, the latest AI feature – face recognition that supports the identification of strangers and acquaintances – has strongly impressed users thanks to its high accuracy. Data from Camera Play is secured on FPT’s cloud platform.

“Digital transformation is taking place very strongly. One of our advantages is having millions of customers who are already using our services. We understand what they want. By using the most advanced digital technologies, we can enhance our connection with customers,” FPT Telecom CEO Viet Anh said.
FPT Play 2022 Decoder, FPT Smart Home, and FPT Camera Play are 3 of many software products offered by FPT Telecom.
In the next development period FPT Telecom plans to increase investment in research and development projects to accelerate the application of digital products and services, improve experience of domestic users, and penetrate in foreign markets.
“We’ll not only export products like foreign phones and computers made in Vietnam, or export rice, shrimp, and green vegetables, we will do more than that. I want to talk about Vietnamese people’s intelligence. The word ‘export’ will no longer be used, and will be replaced by the world ‘conquer’. We have a pioneering team of thousands of programmers. We will conquer bigger goals,” said Hoang Nam Tien, Vice Chairman of FPT University and former FPT Telecom Chairman.
At the 25th founding anniversary of FPT Telecom last year, Deputy Minister of Information and Communications Phan Tam called on FPT Telecom and other internet businesses to jointly create a new development space with opportunities for rapid and sustainable growth the next 25 years to enable Vietnam to enter the digital world. The software products by FPT Telecom engineers are affirming the global position of Make-in-Vietnam products.
