(VOVWORLD) - OneClinic Company has launched a digital health platform called OneClinic, offering IT solutions to clinic management with a two‑way connection with personal health records. The solution has contributed to the digital transformation in many localities in Vietnam, creating an ecosystem connecting clinics, testing centers, pharmacies, and private health insurance agencies to bring convenience and improve the quality of medical examination and treatment services for people. OneClinic is built with the slogan “For a Healthy Vietnam”.

The OneClinic platform offers the Electronic Medical Record based on the CLAS Healthcare EMR software, which was granted a US patent by the US Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) in 2022, and the Personal Health Record which was granted a US patent-pending by the USPTO.
Most recently, the OneClinic platform won a Sao Khue Award 2023 in the category of New Software Products and Solutions.
Vietnamese-American IT expert Nguyen Francis Tuan Anh, Director of OneClinic Company, said the company’s initial goal when creating the digital medical platform.
“First, we want to optimize the public and private primary healthcare model. Second, we also want to use this tool to optimize the model for chronic disease treatment because in order to cure chronic diseases, it requires that doctors and patients connect with each other anywhere, anytime. E-Medical Record is the doctor’s tool and the Personal Health Record is the patients’ instrument. The third goal is to optimize the self‑care model.”
The OneClinic chief said he hopes that the OneClinic digital medical platform will help improve the quality of medical examination and treatment services for Vietnamese people.
As a member of the VMED Group, a pioneering enterprise in digital transformation and smart healthcare in Vietnam, OneClinic company is developing with the CICC digital transformation model, which VMED Group proposed in the Healthcare White Book 2022 of AmCham Vietnam.
According to Nguyen Francis Tuan Anh, the CICC model can be viewed as a house whose foundation is Compliance. Compliance means to comply with Vietnamese and international medical standards.
‘I’, standing for Integrated Platform is to integrate software, medical equipment and a medical examination and treatment database to offer the most effective treatment.
‘C’ means a Connected Ecosystem that connects medical agencies such as clinics, testing centers, pharmacies, and private health insurance.
Finally, the last ‘C’ is for Compatibility. It is the compatibility between OneClinic and the current system of medical agencies.

Based on the CICC model, the OneClinic platform develops OneCIS, a clinical management system, OneEMR, an Electronic Medical Record, and OnePHR, a Personal Health Record.
The three software applications serve the medical examination and treatment purposes and are operated on the fourth pillar – OneHIE, a database in line with international medical standards.
Nguyen Francis Tuan Anh said the Personal Health Record is a perfect pair with the Electronic Medical Record. The Personal Health Record stores users’ health data, including information from all doctor visits at various healthcare facilities. Sometimes patients, especially those with chronic diseases, stay at home, but can use personal medical devices to upload their data to their personal health profile.
“The Personal Health Record is a centralized medical database in line with international medical standards, allowing patients to travel with their health record anywhere in the world,” said Nguyen Francis Tuan Anh.

OneClinic has optimized the private clinic model in Khanh Hoa province. In Thua Thien‑Hue province, OneClinic has collaborated with the Hue Family Medicine Center under the Hue University of Medicine and Pharmacy to deploy the chronic disease treatment model.
Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Minh Tam, Vice Rector of Hue University, said, “The Platform is also compatible with traditional solutions in chronic disease management including early detection of the disease, better clinical management, and increasing the patients’ compliance with treatment.”
Amid strong digital transformation and increased application of IT, doctors have been given more favorable conditions in regards to timely detection and response, and providing comprehensive, continuous care which is individualized by diseases and patients’ needs.
For patients, early detection of behavioral changes and treatment compliance are also strongly supported by IT applications, medical care equipment and tools connected on the technology platform, Tam added.
OneClinic is aiming to improve accessibility and training in the healthcare industry by applying IT with the advanced CICC ecosystem, thus contributing to the digital transformation locally and nationally.
In addition, with the patents granted by the USPTO, OneClinic plans to bring the digital medical platform to many other developing countries.
