Community care for the disadvantaged in border areas ahead of Tet holiday

The northern mountainous province of Cao Bang has organized many activities for the less fortunate to celebrate the upcoming Tet

On January 6, poor people received free medical checkups at the Tra Linh international border guard station.

Border guard soldiers worked in collaboration with local medical forces to conduct medical check-ups and provide free medicine to more than 100 people in Thim Phong hamlet of Trung Khanh district.

Soldiers present 165 Tet gifts to the needy in Bac Kan, Thai Nguyen, and Cao Bang provinces to help local people fully enjoy the Tet holiday.

Each gift consists of Tet necessities, hoping to create a warmer Tet for poor households.

A Zero dong market offering agriculture products aims to ensure that disadvantaged people can enjoy a happy Tet.

The event highlighted efforts to share the difficulties of poor people in northern mountainous areas. It is also an opportunity to further build a close bond between soldiers and people, spreading the spirit of sharing, love, and solidarity of Vietnamese people during the Tet holiday.

Border guards also handed over special gifts in support of poor students.

Border guards hold many activities for poor people, including making square sticky rice cakes, cooking traditional Vietnamese food, and organizing folk games.
