Da Nang lifts lockdown on some residential areas linked to COVID-19 outbreaks

(VOVWORLD) - The administration of Da Nang city removed a 21-day lockdown on May 27 to ease restrictions placed on several residential areas linked to the resurgence of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.
Hundreds of people residing in the 12T3 apartment building in Son Tra district of Da Nang City are delighted upon their residential area being reopened at 8 a.m. on May 27. Their apartment building is put under isolation measures for 21 days as part of the nation’s COVID-19 fight. |
The authorities of Da Nang read the announcement to lift the 21-day lockdown placed on the residential area. |
The 12-storey apartment building is home to approximately 500 people. The site had been put into isolation on May 6 by the administration of Da Nang City after the detection of one positive COVID-19 case involving an individual who is a staff member of New Phuong Dong club. |
Son Tra district in Da Nang City is now home to 15 residential areas which have been put into isolation due to links with positive COVID-19 patients. |
Locals show their delight at their lives returning to normal after the 21-day isolation period. |
Despite the easing of restrictions, residents continue to follow COVID-19 prevention and control measures. |
The same day sees a residential area in Hai Chau district have their 21-day lockdown lifted. |
The residential area is located close to the COVID-19 hotspot of New Phuong Dong club, therefore the authorities ask locals to continue to check their health at home for the next seven days. |
