Dak Lak, Dak Nong provinces endure serious flooding despite halt in rain

(VOVWORLD) - Although rain in the Central Highland provinces of Dak Lak and Dak Nong has stopped, serious flooding has hit many residential areas in the provinces, leaving plenty of homes in deep floodwater.
Seven districts throughout Dak Lak province are left submerged by the impact of flooding on the afternoon of December 3. |
The administration of Dak Lak province reports one death, the destruction of seven houses, 16 houses being devastated by the impact of landslides, and 1,000 houses being left isolated by flooding. |
Despite rain stopping in Dak Lak province, the water level in local rivers has continued to rise exponentially. |
Rising floodwater on rivers throughout the region has had a severe impact on the daily lives of local people. |
Many roads in the province have been left destroyed due to a series of landslides. |
As many as 450 households have been forced to move to shelter. |
Rising levels of flooding can be seen on the Serepok river. |
The entirety of Krong No district in Dak Nong province is left heavily flooded, causing severe damage to the property and crops of local people. |
