Dancesport performances excite crowds at SEA Games 31

(VOVWORLD) - Dancesport performances brought a festive atmosphere to Long Bien District Sporting Hall in Hanoi over the past two days of the ongoing regional sporting event – SEA Games 31.
 Dancesport is one of the much awaited sports as it combines sport and dance, allowing dancers to improve their physical fitness and mental well-being. |
 Through their performances, the audience have the chance to see attractive body movements and unpredictable changes during each melody. |
 For these reasons, large crowds flock to Long Bien Sporting Hall on the outskirts of Hanoi on May 15-16 to watch best dancers from Southeast Asian countries put up their performances as part of SEA Games 31. |
 It’s a rare chance for local residents to view dancesport performances. |
 Dancers receive thunderous applause from crowds of spectators packing the competition hall. |
 At this SEA Games, the sport sees the participation of athletes from the Philippines, Malaysia, Cambodia, Thailand, Singapore, and hosts Vietnam. |
 Dancers are required to compete in 12 categories, including Samba, Cha-Cha-Cha, Rumba, Paso Doble, Jive, Latin, Waltz, Tango, Viennese Waltz, Slow Foxtrot, Quickstep, and Standard. |
 After two competition days, Vietnamese dancers win five gold, one silver, and five bronze medals. |
 Philippine dancers bag five gold, five silver, and two bronze medals. |
 Thai athletes get two gold, six silver, and four bronze medals. |
