Since March , there has been a significant increase in visitors to the Dien Bien Phu battlefield relic sites with around 5,000 arrivals daily.

The Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism of Dien Bien province, along with the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha Executive Board, plants 1,000 Bauhinia Flower trees around historical sites in Dien Bien Phu City.
The command tunnel used by French General De Castries is a popular attraction for visitors.

Since early April the museum has welcomed more than 86,000 arrivals. It is open to visitors every Friday and Saturday from 7:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. in April and May.
War veterans visit the Dien Bien Phu Martyrs’ Cemetery as they pay tribute to the country’s fallen soldiers.
Dien Bien has welcomed 845,000 visitors so far, which is 1.8 times more than last year. 2024 commemorates the 70th anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu Victory on May 7 and is designated as National Tourism Year. The goal is to receive a total of 1.3 million visitors this year.

(VOVWORLD) -Many people are visiting various historical sites in Dien Bien Phu City, Dien Bien Province, to honor the Dien Bien Phu Victory on May 7, a significant achievement in Vietnam's resistance against French colonial rule.
