A Pa Chai is famous for being the west pole in Vietnam where the crow can be heard in three countries, including Vietnam, Laos, and China. Located in Muong Nhe district of Dien Bien province and 750km from Hanoi, A Pa Chai is situated in the extreme western part of the country, with the land being located about 1,800 metres above sea level.
Dien Bien Phu Historical Victory Museum is one of the many relic sites in Dien Bien province. The museum still possesses many valuable documents and objects related to the historic Dien Bien Phu victory.
Placed at Dien Bien Phu Historical Victory Museum, the artwork, featuring 4,500 characters, is a panorama of the Dien Bien Phu battlefield at different times from late 1953 to May 7, 1954.
With the scale of over 140 km2 in Dien Bien province, Muong Thanh rice field is one of the largest of its kind in Vietnam's northwestern region.
Tua Chua is a mountainous district found within Dien Bien province and is mainly inhabited by the Mong ethnic group. The area boasts many pristine and majestic natural landscapes.
The water splashing festival (Bun Huot Nam) is among the rituals held during the traditional New Year festival of the Lao ethnic group of Dien Bien province to say goodbye to the dry season, wash off bad luck, as well as praying for favourable weather, bumper crops, good health, and luck in the future.
