“Flying over Tien Sa 2018”: A chance to admire Da Nang

(VOVWORLD) - Nearly 100 pilots from clubs inside and outside Vietnam competed in the paragliding race, ‘Fly over Tien Sa’, in the central coastal city of Da Nang on June 22-24.
The event is jointly held by the Da Nang Municipal People’s Committee, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, and the Da Nang Paragliding Club.

It is part of artistic, cultural and sporting activities under the city’s annual Summer Rendezvous programme, which aims to promote local tourism. |
On June 23-24, pilots flew from Ban Co peak to Son Tra peninsula, which is situated at an altitude of 600 metres above sea level, and landed on Man Thai beach.

From June 21 to 24, members of the ‘Vietwings Hanoi Paragliding Club’ provided a tandem-glider service to offer visitors at the festival a unique opportunity to admire the panoramic views of Da Nang city from above.

The Son Tra Peninsula is considered to be one of the most spectacular flying sites in Viet Nam for fliers to admire the majestic mountain ranges and beautiful beaches from above.
