(VOVWORLD) - A number of hotels and bars based in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City have managed to survive COVID-19, including selling food, vegetables, and other essential goods.
A hotel located on Hang Buom street in Hanoi’s Old Quarter now sells baby diapers. The hotel owner says it had no guests during the social distancing period, therefore it resorted to selling necessities to help improve his family’s income. |
Menus with prices ranging 1.2 USD to 4.4 USD per set meal are placed in front of a hotel on Hang Trong street. The owner says he receives 100 online orders each day to support him pay the salary of his staff who have been stranded in Hanoi for over two months due to social distancing. |
Similarly, plenty of owners of bars and nightclubs on Bui Vien street in Ho Chi Minh City turn to selling food and beverages to pay for the cost of renting their building. |
