(VOVWORLD) -Large photos of Truong Sa (Spratly) archipelago hung on the walls of corridors and staircases of the Hanoi Medical University Hospital have captured the attention of many visitors.
Hanoi Medical University Hospital is located at 1 Ton That Tung street, Dong Da district, Hanoi.
Over the past year, photos of Truong Sa taken by VOV journalist Nguyen My Tra have been enlarged and displayed in the hospital's lobby, hallway, and staircase.
The photos attract the attention of patients and their relatives at the hospital.
People look at the photos while waiting for their turn to meet the doctors.
For many patients, the blue sea and sky in the photos have a remarkable effect on alleviating their pain.
Photos beautify the hospital and remind everyone of Vietnam's sacred sovereignty over Hoang Sa (Paracel) and Truong Sa (Spratly) islands.
Associate Professor, Doctor Nguyen Lan Hieu, Director of Hanoi Medical University Hospital, said, "The photos are very beautiful! They inspire viewers to think of a better future. The photos have a special meaning here as they always remind us that Hoang Sa and Truong Sa are an indispensable part of Vietnam."
Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Nhuan, relative of a patient from Thai Binh province, said, "I come here to take care of a family member in this hospital. We are from the mainland, but seeing these pictures, we feel our islands are very close. We admire the soldiers who protect our sovereignty on the islands day and night.”
Mr. Nguyen Van The, a pharmacist, said, “When coming here and seeing these very beautiful photos, people think of our islands and national sovereignty.”
