Outstanding photos of Drone Photo Awards 2021
(VOVWORLD) - The Drone Photo Awards 2021 attracted around 14,000 submissions from over 100 countries worldwide.
The Drone Photo Awards is an aerial photography competition held annually as a part of Italy’s Siena International Photo Awards. The seventh edition of the awards attracted around 14,000 submissions from over 100 countries worldwide.
Norwegian photographer Terje Kolaas was the overall winner of the 2021 competition with his photo of pink-footed geese flying over a snow-laden landscape.
Meanwhile, Vietnamese photographer Pham Huy Trung’s photo of a fisherman in a mangrove forest in Thua Thien-Hue province’s Tam Giang Lagoon won the "People" category.
Trung's winning photo illustrates the beauty of Vietnam’s mangrove forests. Mangroves lose all their leaves and turn white during winter.
Though his experience as a photographer spans a mere five years, Trung has already seen success in the photography competition circle, scooping up awards at both Skypixel and the Sony World Photo Awards.
