(VOVWORLD) - A painting exhibition showcasing pieces created by female members of the Vietnam Fine Arts Association is taking place in Hanoi in order to commemorate International Women’s Day on March 8.
The event opens on March 1 at a gallery house located at 16 Ngo Quyen street in Hanoi. |
On display throughout the event are 68 paintings which make use of various materials, including oil, wood carvings, lacquer, and lotions. |
The main theme of the exhibition is to detail the daily lives of local people in fishing villages. |
Each of the paintings was created by female artists during their trips from Thanh Hoa to Thua Thien-Hue provinces last year. |
Due to the Health Ministry’s novel coronavirus (COVID-19) prevention and control measures, the exhibition is launched with no opening ceremony. |
The event is scheduled to last through to March 8. Visitors who attend the exhibition will be required to don face masks, use hand sanitizer, and follow social distancing measures in an effort to curb the potential spread of the COVID-19 pandemic. |
