(VOVWORLD) - The Vietnam-Cuba Friendship Association launched a photo exhibition at the Vietnamese Women Museum in Hanoi on November 19 to mark the 60th anniversary of Vietnam-Cuba diplomatic relations, which first got underway on December 2, 1960.
A large number of delegates are in attendance for the photo exhibition’s opening ceremony in Hanoi. |
A total of 90 images go on display for visitors to enjoy with the aim of highlighting the solidarity, friendship, co-operation, and mutual support that has historically existed between the governments and citizens of both nations. |
Photos featuring the landscape and people of Cuba, along with nice memories of the Caribbean nation, have been taken by Vietnamese photographers who previously studied and worked in Cuba. |
The photo exhibition showcases the close relationship and multi-faceted co-operation between the two sides. |
The occasion features photos marking some of the important milestones in the bilateral co-operation relations between the two countries, along with the mutual assistance provided during difficult periods such as the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) epidemic. |
The exhibition is scheduled to run until November 23. |
Nguyen Phuong Nga, President of the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organisations (VUFO), and Cuban ambassador to Vietnam Lianys Torres Rivera (fifth and sixth from left), join delegates to pose for a group photo. |
