Spring offering shows the respect of localities and Hue artisans to their predecessors and spreads the traditional beauty of Hue people and specialties of the ancient capital.

The procession includes a rite to commence the ceremony and set up street performances en route from August 23 Street to the Ngo Mon gate, the southern main gate of the Hue Imperial City, and “The Mieu”, an ancestral temple to Vietnam's emperors.

According to historical documents, under the Nguyen Dynasty, every year on special occasions, localities would prepare their own food and specialties to offer to the king.

According to the Hue Monuments Conservation Center, the re-creation of this ritual helps people remember history and creates a beautiful image of traditional customs and rituals.

The ritual also aims to promote the culture, people, and specialties of Hue to visitors.

The procession includes members of the Hue Monuments Conservation Center and artisans from selected localities offering specialties.
