Around 340km to the north of Hanoi, Ban Gioc Waterfall is part of the UNESCO-recognised Non Nuoc Cao Bang geopark.
For the majority of travelers visiting the northeastern region, the waterfall is a must-see tourist destination.
Located in Dam Thuy commune of Trung Khanh district, Ban Gioc Waterfall is widely considered to be one of the most priceless gifts that nature has bestowed on the locality.
The cascading waterfall, with a height of 53 metres and a width of 300 metres, features many different large and small falls. Large bodies of water pour down the structure through limestone, forming special white mist in the process.
During the summer, tourists can see the waterfall even in the early morning from far away.
