Stunning beauty of 300-year-old Hoa Bun tree in Hanoi
(VOVWORLD) - A 300-year-old Hoa Bun tree which can be seen in full bloom covers a local village on the outskirts of Hanoi in special white and yellow flowers every April.

The Hoa Bun tree, scientifically named Crateva religiosa, can be found in Dinh Thon village of Nam Tu Liem district and is up to 300 years old. The site is recognised as a treasure by many generations of the village. |
The 30-metre-high tree is noted for its large, thick foliage which brings cool air to villagers. |
The flowers consist of white and yellow petals and are widely known by their Vietnamese names as Bach Hoa and Man Man. |
The tree can be seen in full bloom between March and April each year. |
This species is often planted in Quang Nam, Ninh Thuan, and Thua Thien-Hue provinces in central Vietnam, but is rarely seen in Hanoi. These flowers are most commonly found in Ha Dong and Dong Da districts of the capital. |
The tree’s charming beauty creates a peaceful state of mind for onlookers to enjoy. |
Visitors are able to enjoy the pleasant aroma coming from the flowers. Indeed, when they start to bloom, the pistils appear similar to noodles. |

Locals snap photos of the magnificent flower as it enters the rare blossoming period. |
