Tet gifts to Truong Sa islanders
(VOVWORLD) - A delegation made up of military officers and soldiers has departed for the Truong Sa (Spratly) archipelago, bringing with them lots of essential goods for the Lunar New Year (Tet) to local islanders.
The delegation boards three ships carrying dozens of tonnes of Tet gifts sent by various military units and people nationwide to soldiers and residents living on the archipelago. |

The gifts include an array of traditional Tet foods and fruits such as sticky rice, pork, chicken, dong leaves (used for wrapping traditional Chung cakes), green bananas, pomelos, kumquat trees, and flowers. |
