Tran Quoc pagoda is located on a small peninsula on the east side of West Lake and is nearly 1,500 years old. The pagoda resembles a lotus on the lake.
The pagoda has 3 main areas of worship.
Its garden consists of several ancient towers dating back to the 18th century.
Bao Thap or stupa is composed of 11 floors with a height of 15m; each floor has a vaulted window holding a statue of Amitabha made from gemstone.
A Bodhi tree, whose branch was taken from a tree in India, under which the Buddha is said to have attained the enlightenment.
Tran Quoc pagoda is a popular destination for foreign and domestic tourists.
Tran Quoc is famous for its history, architecture, and holiness.
Buu Long pagoda is another Vietnamese pagoda listed among the world’s top 20 most beautiful. Located in district 9, Ho Chi Minh City, the pagoda was built from 2007 to 2011.
An emerald pond in front of the presbytery attracts numerous tourists.
The sound of wind-chimes in Buu Long pagoda also impresses visitors.
The stupa, which can accommodate more than 2,000 people, is ornamented by delicate sculptures.
Its design was influenced by Theravada Buddhism, originating in India.
