Vietnam drone pictures honoured at international aerial photo contest

(VOVWORLD) - Seven pictures taken by Vietnamese photographers using drones took consolation prizes in the people category of the Drone Photo Awards as part of the Siena Awards 2022, an international competition for stunning images.
 An entry named "Collecting Bang grass" captured by Nguyen Huu Binh in December last year in My Hanh Bac commune of Duc Hoa district in the southern province of Long An. The photo depicts a farmer collecting bundles of bang grass, and crossing a water field. Bang grass is the material used to produce straws and replaces plastic ones in order to protect the environment. |
 "Drying Rice Paper" is a photo was taken by Nguyen Phuoc Hoai. Located on the banks of the Con river, An Thai is a traditional trade village of dry vermicelli and rice paper and is over 100 years old. Rice is the main ingredient used in producing rice paper which is then put on a bamboo griddle and is then brought out to dry the sun. |
 "Drying sedge mat" was taken by Nguyen Linh Vinh Quoc in Phu Tan craft village of Tuy An district in the southcentral coastal province of Phu Yen. Sedge mats are made from natural materials, enabling people to sleep comfortably in the hot weather. |
 "Going through the cabbage garden" was captured by Vietnamese photographer Nguyen Phuc Thanh in Lam Dien commune of Chuong My district. |
 The photo "Casting net to catch squids" was taken by Nguyen Tan Tuan in Binh Chau beach in Quang Ngai province. |
 "Spring on the tea hill" photo was captured by Pham Huy Trung at the Bat Nha Monastery in Dam B'ri district of Bao Loc town in Lam Dong province. |
 A photo titled "Fishing anchovies" was taken by Nguyen Ngoc Thien in An Hoa commune of Tuy An district in Phu Yen province. Many fishing families follow the water close to shore in order to catch anchovies in the high season. Salted anchovies are the main raw material used in the traditional fish sauce. |
