A photo entitled “Buddha statue on the roof of Indochina”, taken by Le Viet Khanh, won third prize in the Professional category at the Monochrome Awards, the world’s most prestigious black-and-white photo contest. Khanh said the photo was taken on a very cold winter morning after a night of heavy rain. He said he was lucky to capture a fleeting moment when the clouds were parted by a strong wind at the top of the mountain, just enough to glimpse the magnificent Buddha statue looming in the mist.
