(VOVWORLD) - The virtual forum "EU-Vietnam Free Trade Agreement: the way to profits, the way of challenges" empowered businesses with the know-how to capitalize on the trade deal.
The online forum was jointly organized on July 29 by the Voice of Vietnam (VOV), the Union of Vietnamese Business Associations in Europe, the State Committee on Overseas Vietnamese Affairs, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. |
The online forum linked businesses Europe with 150 businesses in Hanoi, Binh Phuoc province, and Ho Chi Minh city. |
The forum helped domestic firms expand their partnerships with those in Europe who are interested in investing, operating, and importing products from Vietnam. |
Vietnamese companies were briefed on investment initiatives and cooperation potential with European partners. |
Participants in the forum agreed that the EVFTA will benefit businesses on both sides. The door will open for Vietnamese firms to penetrate into the large European market with 500 million consumers. |
Meanwhile Vietnamese consumers will have broadened access to Europe’s high quality products and services. The challenges brought by the EVFTA are clear, which require businesses from both sides to actively evolve and devise detailed plans to seize opportunities. |
VOV Vice President Ngo Minh Hien told participants that the virtual event ties enterprises together to mitigate the risks and challenges while striving to make the most of the deal. |
VOV leaders confirmed that VOV, which has 8 radio channels, 16 TV channels, print and online newspapers, will join the efforts of businesses and overseas Vietnamese to get the most from the EVFTA. |
