(VOVworld) - Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc on Sunday attended the launching ceremony of the 2012 summer youth volunteer campaign in Ha Tinh province. He praised what the Ho Chi Minh Youth Union nationwide has achieved so far: “In recent years, young people all over the country have enthusiastically participated in voluntary activities. The image of young volunteer has become representative for Vietnamese youth in the new period. It’s more important that the campaign has rallied million of Youth Union members and helped train them to be more responsible to society and contribute to national construction and defence”.

Deputy Prime Minister Phuc urged the campaign organizers to make further efforts for more practical results.

The same day, Deputy PM Phuc received a visiting delegation of Laos Revolutionary Youth Union. He reiterated the significant role the young generations play to boost the traditional friendship between the two countries. The Deputy PM expressed his belief that the relationship between the two countries in general and the Youth Unions in particular will develop in the near future.
