Ninh talked about the directions of regional development: "I ‘d like to call on authorities from central to local levels to focus more on the forum’s foremost goal, which is developing the economy in parallel with ensuring social welfare, especially for the poor, ethnic people, and those living in remote areas. In addition, participants of the forum should seek solutions to remaining issues emerging from regional socio-economic development."

An exhibition themed “Green environment week – Green technology – Sustainable economic development of green economy” opened the same day in Vinh Long city, attracting 200 agencies and companies from the Mekong Delta region, Ho Chi Minh city, and Hanoi.
