29th session of the National Assembly Standing Committee closes
(VOVworld) – The 29th session of the National Assembly Standing Committee closed in Hanoi on Wednesday.
The deputies agreed that at its recent session, the National Assembly completed its agenda and had created a social consensus that could overcome difficulties in order to help develop the economy and defend national sovereignty. Regarding preparations for the upcoming National Assembly session, they said legislation should be a top priority as implementation of the new constitution began this year. National Assembly Chairman Nguyen Sinh Hung said: “We have approved 17 draft laws, a record so far. The National Assembly should include constitutional implementation within the legislation.”
At its next session, the National Assembly is expected to discuss and approve 30 draft laws and 2 draft resolutions.
