4th conference of the executive committee of Vietnam Farmers’ Union
(VOVworld) – The 4th conference of the Vietnam Farmers’ Union’s Executive Committee opened in Hanoi on Wednesday.
Union President Nguyen Quoc Cuong said that during the first 6 months of the year, farmers’ associations nationwide have increased political education to create a high consensus in implementing party and state policies concerning agriculture, farmers and rural areas. Farmers’ associations have called on their members to implement Vietnam’s policies on safeguarding national sovereignty and supporting the offshore fishermen. The delegates discussed a number of issues related to the quality of agricultural materials, land acquisition policies, and mechanisms to support farmers in agricultural production.
