ADB to fund Yangoon-Da Nang route

(VOVworld) – The Asian Development Bank (ADB) has approved a 100 million USD loan to upgrade 66.4km of roads linking Eindu and Kawkareik in Myanmar’s Kayin state, the last section of the Est-West Corridor in the Greater Mekong Subregion. Once completed the section will link Da Nang city of Vietnam with Myanmar’s Mawlamuine and Yangoon. The project will be implemented in 3 years and is scheduled to be completed in September 2019.
