National Assembly Chairman Nguyen Sinh Hung addresses the conference

(VOVworld)- A conference to review the 5-year implementation of the Party’s resolution on agriculture, farmers, and rural areas opened in Hanoi on Wednesday. Addressing the event, National Assembly Chairman Nguyen Sinh Hung highlighted achievements in various fields. The agricultural sector has upgraded the rural infrastructure in connection with urban development, and farmers’ spiritual and material lives, especially those in disadvantaged areas have been improved. Various production models and services in rural areas have been promoted and advanced technology has been applied in agricultural production. Over the past five years, Vietnam has generated jobs for more than 5 million rural workers. New cooperative models proved the effectiveness of expanding rice cultivation on more than 100,000 hectares in 43 provinces.
