(VOVworld) – The Algerian embassy in Hanoi held a reception Thursday on the 50
th anniversary of Algerian independence. At the ceremony, Algerian Ambassador to Vietnam Cherif Chikhi said that Vietnam and Algeria were always side by side in their struggles for independence. Vietnam’s Vice Minister of Construction Nguyen Tran Nam said that as a close friend of the Algerian people, Vietnam congratulates Algeria for its developmental successes and the happiness of the Algerian people.
Two countries are also celebrating the 50th anniversary of bilateral diplomatic relations this year, marking a half-century of friendship and cooperation.
