(VOVworld) – The second blood donation day was held in Hanoi by the city’s Youth Union and the Institute of Hematology and Blood Transfusion. Many famous artists and young people came to donate their blood. Nguyen Thi Loan, winner of a beauty contest, told VOV after donating her blood: “This is my 5^th blood donation. I am very happy because despite the hot weather many students have responded to the program by giving their blood to patients. This is very significant.”

 About 1,000 blood units have been donated in the morning of the campaign.
