(VOVworld) – The Steering Board for External Information today/ on Friday held a conference in Hanoi to review its operations over the first half of the year.

According to the Steering board, the flow of external communications has increased substantially over the past 6 months, mainly portraying Vietnam’s image overseas to the world and winning support from the international and overseas Vietnamese communities. Regarding democracy, human rights and religion, external diplomacy has helped to boost mutual understanding and narrow the differences between the related parties concerned. Pham Van Linh, Deputy Head of the Steering Board of External Information pointed out the tasks that lie ahead: "We will continue to raise the quality of our communications between Vietnam and the rest of the world, while adhering to the Party and State’s guidelines and policies. It is essential to combine internal and external information to provide a complete picture and make full use of the support from the international and Overseas Vietnamese communities during Vietnam’s national construction and defense".
